​​​Ronald (Ron) Christy is one of the practicing engineers of Open Range® Engineering Services, PLLC located in Pampa, Texas. Ron is a PSM/EHS consultant, providing auditing and assessment services in a wide range of technical areas including process safety, corporate EHS management systems, occupational safety, chemical security and hazardous materials transportation. He has over thirty-six years (36) of chemical industry experience in a variety of roles, including EHS, Security, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance and R&D.

Former key member of corporate EHS management for a major chemical company, with a wide range of responsibilities, including Corporate Global EHS/PSM Audit Leader; Corporate Security Officer; Manager, Transportation Regulatory Affairs; Site EHS Manager; Global EHS Process Leader. Achievements include:

  • Managed corporate global EHS and PSM compliance audit program and led audits; has led Process Safety audits since 1993
  • Member of Executive-level corporate committee implementing improved intellectual property security systems, including measures/processes for physical Security, IT Security, HR and Legal
  • Directed compliance efforts for sites subject to US Department of Homeland Security CFATS regulations; Corporate Security officer for continuing compliance activities
